Superior Alternative—Research Review Validates Reusables
Cooperation among TRSA, the European Textile Services Association (ETSA) and some of its member national associations recently has led to the publication of Why Textiles Win in the Long Run, a review of studies of hygienic and sustainability performance of reusable linens and single-use disposable flatwork used by hotels and restaurants.
With TRSA, the Belgian Association for Textile Care (FBT), Textile Services Association (TSA, United Kingdom) and Swedish Textile Service Association (ST), ETSA concludes that reusables are far more sustainable and don’t compromise hygiene. Most studies in the report argue convincingly for the reusable option.
