Sustainable Socks Gildan Recycles Dryer Heat To Save Time, Energy

In the early-morning tropical heat, we sit in an SUV outside the gates of the massive Gildan apparel-manufacturing complex near San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Security guards check our personal identification. After a few minutes’ scrutiny, they hand us guest badges and wave us through the entrance. Our group includes three managers from AquaRecycle, Marietta, GA, plus this correspondent. “We’re a long way from ‘GA,’” as country crooner Zac Brown would say; or in my case, from TRSA’s offices in Alexandria, VA. Why are we here?
