Taking a Closer Look at TRSA Committees

The late John J. Contney, TRSA’s executive director for more than 30 years, was known to say that: “Committees are the backbone of the association.” There’s truth in Contney’s words, especially when you consider the vast library of resources and articles produced by the committees throughout the association’s nearly 100-year history. However, as times changed, the number of companies in the industry shrank and time demands of members increased, it became difficult to find the volunteers to make committees as productive as they once were.
