It was a night of raucous cheering, singing, laughter and a few tears as TRSA’s Executive Management Institute held its 51st commencement dinner program on Aug. 11 at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center at the University of Maryland.
 
The singing came courtesy of a virtuoso performance of the Star Spangled Banner by Year I student Jay Rasmussen of AmeriPride Services Inc., Springfield, MO. The 70-plus students, faculty and TRSA staff turned toward a flag in a corner of the room as Rasmussen completed the national anthem.
