The photo above shows some of the members who attended the fourth annual meeting of the Tri-State Linen Supply Association on March 15-16, 1916, at the Claypool Hotel in Indianapolis. That same year, these linen supply operators from Illinois, Indiana and Ohio founded the Linen Supply Association of America (LSAA) as a national trade organization. In September 1917, The Linen Supply News, a publication closely aligned with the LSAA, was launched to serve the interests of textile service operators and suppliers.
