In last October’s Textile Rental (A Winning Formula—Today’s Hybrid Route Trucks, pg. 48), I noted that a sea change is coming to the trucking industry that will affect fleets of all kinds, including those servicing the linen/uniform business. We are witnessing a convergence of a number of forces, all basically involving how we acquire and use energy. The likely result will be dramatic changes in the way delivery vehicles are powered.
