Transplant/Cancer Center Research Indicates Value Of Hygienically Clean Certification

“How Clean Is the Linen at My Hospital?” a study published in Clinical Infectious Diseases, points to Hygienically Clean and other certifications that require microbiological testing of laundered healthcare linens (HCL) among possible answers to curbing fungus on them.

Signed by 28 authors representing 12 U.S. universities and affiliated health facilities, the study measured the microbial content of pathogenic fungi on freshly laundered linens in 15 transplant and cancer hospitals.
