TSA Leads New Standard for Healthcare Laundry Disinfection
The Textile Services Association (TSA, United Kingdom) and De Montfort University (DMU), Leicester, England, recently introduced a standardized test for evaluating the disinfection efficacy of laundry-wash processes, particularly for healthcare textiles. Developed after a four-year study, the test aims to improve infection control by measuring how effectively pathogens are eliminated. This research addresses concerns around cold-washing chemicals and inaccurate tests. Laundry organizations are expected to incorporate new protocols into global best practices, thus ensuring consistent hygiene standards across healthcare laundry operations. Visit bit.ly/tsademonfort.
