Uniforms—Selling a Clean Image

For an industry that sells itself on the virtues of cleanliness, textile service companies have long paid close attention to the image of their uniformed route personnel, who are, in effect, ‘the face of the company.’ This was certainly true in the early 1930s, when a more formal style of dress was the norm.
