I have had the opportunity to represent TRSA in the policy arena for nearly nine years. Time was I would introduce the industry as: “The largest industry you have never heard of.” That used to be correct. It seemed that the industry would accept any policy impacting operations and adapt to comply, as opposed to fighting a bad policy or better yet, playing offense and getting policies enacted to help the industry.
