Wanted: Young Workers to Bolster a Shrinking Workforce

As the baby boomer generation ages, younger employees are needed to help fill today’s dwindling workforce, according to Supply Chain Dive. A recent report from the Employee Benefit Research Institute states that the number of workers in the U.S. labor force who are of “prime working age” (25-64) has fallen significantly since the mid-’90s. Driving this decline is the smaller number of people in that age group. That means more older and younger workers are needed to fill out the ranks.
