Milton Friedman, the noted economist (1912-2006), made that terse, sarcastic observation a number of years ago. Today the accuracy of his sentiment is on display every day in our nation’s capital.  When you view our government in action up close, you quickly realize that we are often fortunate when they do nothing, even when we are footing the bill for this inaction.
