"Across Canada, the COVID-19 pandemic has left an estimated backlog of 25 million surgeries, diagnostic exams, screenings, and other medical procedures that would otherwise have been performed over the past 18 months. Clearing this backlog is expected to take between four and 22 months, depending on the procedure, and assumes that the national health system in Canada is running at 115% of pre-pandemic levels. With this large pent-up demand for non-COVID related healthcare in Canada, we expect demand for our laundry and linen programs to remain strong through the remainder of this year and well into 2022."
