Once again lawmakers waited until late in the year to pass another “extenders” bill on Dec. 17-18, 2015. President Barack Obama quickly signed the measure, dubbed “Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015, which retroactively extends the 50 or so temporary tax provisions that usually are extended on a one- or two-year basis.
