APIC26: Hygienically Clean Showcases Healthcare Resources

Hygienically Clean Healthcare exhibited at APIC26, the Annual Conference and Expo hosted by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), held June 15-17 at the Music City Center in Nashville, TN.

APIC26 served as a global hub for innovation in infection prevention and control, welcoming more than 3,500 healthcare professionals to engage in knowledge-sharing and collaborative learning. As the only conference developed by infection preventionists (IPs) for IPs, the event offered a unique opportunity for Hygienically Clean certification to connect directly with key decision makers committed to advancing infection-control practices in healthcare environments.

Throughout the conference, staff educated attendees on the value of the Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification offering resources they could take back to the staff such as Laundry Facility Tour Guide, Laundry Inspection Check List and Linen360 Orientation Video Series.

“Providing easy access to these resources is an important way to educate infection preventionists on Hygienically Clean certification and why they should ask their laundry provider if they are certified,” said Samlane Ketevong, TRSA’s senior director of certification and accreditation. “Meeting directly with infection preventionists allows us to show them what to look for during laundry facility tours and the right questions to ask their vendors. That knowledge helps them make more informed decisions that support patient safety and infection prevention goals.”

APIC was the second of four conferences TRSA is attending this year. AORN took place in May, followed by AHRMM in July and AHE in August.

Through its presence and educational efforts at these events, Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification continues to support healthcare facilities and workers in promoting patient safety, reducing infection risks and maintaining high standards of environmental hygiene.
