CECO Unites Kemco, Mefiag to Expand Industrial Water Platform

CECO Environmental, the parent company of TRSA supplier partner member Kemco Systems, announced the integration of its Mefiag Filtration and Kemco Systems businesses. The combination unites Kemco’s water-reuse, wastewater-treatment and water-heating technology with Mefiag’s corrosion-resistant filtration system product line.

Leveraging the company’s capabilities and locations in Clearwater, FL, and Heerenveen, Netherlands, enhances manufacturing, sales and service capabilities for the industrial water product lines serving North America and Europe.

Kemco, founded in 1969 and based in Clearwater, FL, has delivered more than 10,000 water treatment, reuse and recovery systems worldwide, serving the linen, uniform and facility services industry, as well as food processing and general manufacturing. Mefiag, founded in the Netherlands in 1953, has spent more than seven decades supplying corrosion-resistant filtration systems to the electroplating, surface finishing and anodizing industries, and later expanding into automotive, construction and sanitary applications. Mefiag joined the CECO family of brands in 2013.

“Kemco and Mefiag have each built deep expertise in their respective corners of industrial water treatment, and this integration has expanded Kemco’s scale, our filtration capabilities and the impact we can deliver for customers,” said Matt Lewis, platform leader, Americas industrial water/wastewater. “We have brought together deep engineering expertise from Kemco and Mefiag, creating one of the broadest industrial water-treatment and filtration platforms in the industry. This integration reflects who Kemco is today and positions us to support more customers across a wider range of industries, now and in the future.”

This integration reflects CECO’s continued investment in its industrial water platform. To learn more, visit www.kemcosystems.com or www.cecoenviro.com.
