LAVATEC Laundry Technology Inc., Beacon Falls, CT, hired Tim Crimmins as its new regional sales manager for the Southeast U.S. and Caribbean islands. Based in Orlando, FL, he reports to Jim Shaw, LAVATEC’s vice president and national accounts sales manager.
Crimmins has more than 30 years of operations management and sales experience in the linen, uniform and facility services industry. He grew up in the business as the son of former HCSC executive Timothy Crimmins, and as a child he would spend the summers working at his father’s laundry facilities. He has served in many executive capacities for companies where he was responsible for the oversight of multiple facilities, including sales and service.
Crimmins credits a long business relationship with Jim Slatcher, the company’s regional sales manager for the Western states, for convincing him to take this new position.
“Knowing Jim for over 25 years provided a huge sense of comfort in my decision,” Crimmins said. “Both from having as a support system, but also that he had an operations background as well and has been tremendously successful since he joined LAVATEC.
“I left a part of the business where I felt I was very accomplished and as good as any operator in the U.S. I am excited about this new challenge and plan to stay humble, patient and learn from those around me so I can contribute to the team.”
