TRSA announced the agenda for its 14th Annual Healthcare Conference, a premier event dedicated to exploring the latest innovations and trends in the healthcare services sector. This year’s conference, scheduled for Nov. 19–20 at the Hilton Boston Back Bay, will kick off with a keynote address by Shawn DuBravac, noted futurist and former chief economist, whose keynote will address how accelerating innovation and digital transformation are reshaping the healthcare and commercial laundry industries.
The conference also will spotlight key developments in healthcare textiles, infection control and supply-chain efficiency. Sessions will feature insights from top professionals in healthcare facilities, infection prevention and sourcing, offering a forward-looking view of how the healthcare sector continues to evolve post-pandemic.
The conference will feature a variety of breakout and general sessions aimed at acute- and nonacute-care laundry operators, including:

- The Pitfalls and Best Practices of Writing Contracts
- What’s New in the World of Healthcare Textiles
- Hygienically Clean Program Update and ‘Ask the Auditors’

Dynamic panels will feature industry leaders:
Bridging the Gap Between Infection Control and Healthcare Laundry, will explore the vital role healthcare professional organizations play within the industry. Panelists include the following: Representing APIC: Jenna Rivers, infection preventionist, Moffit Cancer Center; representing AHE: James E. Odom Jr., university director of buildings and grounds at UConn Health; and representing AHRMM: Matthew Fauss, senior sourcing manager at BJC Healthcare.
TRSA President CEO and Josepph Ricci will moderate a discussion with two of the leading Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) executives: Trevor Rotondo, director, purchased services strategic sourcing at HealthTrust; and Stephanie Gregg, director – advisory solutions, at Vizient. This panel, titled Optimizing Costs and Quality: The GPO Perspective on Healthcare Laundry Services, will provide an in-depth look at the strategic role GPOs play in the healthcare sector.
The Frontline Insights: Infection Control in Healthcare Linen Management panel will feature experts from leading healthcare institutions, the Mayo Clinic and MD Anderson,
and service providers, Emerald Textiles and the Association for Linen Management (ALM), discussing innovative strategies for maintaining hygiene in linen handling. Panelists will share best practices, address emerging challenges and emphasize the importance of collaboration in ensuring patient safety.
Industry Executive Perspectives on Healthcare Services will close the first full day. During this session, top executives will share their outlooks on sustainability, market trends, labor and the growing debate around reusables versus disposables in healthcare.
New to the Healthcare Conference this year is TRSA’s Best of Healthcare Showcase which celebrates the impactful ideas and innovations from operator members and supplier partners in the healthcare industry. Healthcare operators and suppliers are asked to submit one of their successes from the past year. Healthcare Committee members will vote on the best ideas and winners will be selected to share their ideas at the conference, providing a unique opportunity to share company achievements and inspire others.
