Performance Matters, Columbia, SC, announced that Mark Kowalski and his firm Envise Partners have joined Performance Matters. Envise Partners will continue to operate under its own name as a Performance Matters company, with Kowalski leading the firm’s business valuation work.

Kowalski (pictured) has spent the past eight years helping laundry owners understand what their businesses are worth, building a laundry-specific body of valuation and metric data along the way. That data, and the valuation practice behind it, now sits alongside the operating work Performance Matters has done for two decades.

“I’ve valued a lot of laundries, and the pattern is always the same: owners who know their number early make better decisions for years afterward,” said Kowalski, managing director and founder, Envise Partners. “Joining Performance Matters means an owner gets the number and the team that helps move it.”

Performance Matters has always worked on the operating side of a laundry: data analytics, route productivity, service and sales. The addition of Envise Partners to the company connects that work to the value of the business itself. Owners can establish a value baseline, see which improvements move the number and measure it year after year.

“Owners ask us two questions: how do I run this better, and what is it all worth?” said Blake Montgomery, CEO and owner, Performance Matters. “For 20 years we could answer the first one. With Mark on the team, we can answer both – with real laundry data behind the number instead of a rule of thumb.”

Full business valuations are handled by Envise Partners. Performance Matters offers the Laundry Value Baseline, a fixed-scope engagement that gives owners a directional value picture as part of long-range planning. Both are available immediately.
