The recent redesign of Textile Services magazine has earned recognition from Graphic Design USA, a leading publisher of news and information for graphic designers and the broader creative community.

Earlier this month, TRSA was notified via email that Textile Services’ new look, which kicked off with the September edition, was selected by the design group as a winner of a 61st annual GDUSA Design Award. This program is part of the New York-based organization’s “best-of-the year” competition. The email noted that GDUSA received more than 8,000 entries this year. Only the top 10% are selected as winners. Textile Services’ new design earned a spot in this select group.

The GDUSA recognition is the second award that the magazine’s redesign has recently received. Earlier this month, TRSA learned that the redesign had received a Gold Award for excellence from the Association for Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP). This recognition was part of the AMCP’s yearly MarCom awards program for publishers, ad agencies, corporate public relations departments, etc.

Textile Services Senior Editor Jack Morgan says staff are delighted by this latest award. He hopes readers appreciate the new look as much as the judges of these competitions. “Our designer, Jacki Fink, led this effort to freshen up and modernize the design of Textile Services,” Morgan said. “While several of us had input on the process, credit goes to Ms. Fink for a truly inspired effort.”
