CEOs and high-ranking linen, uniform and facility services industry executives gathered in Washington, DC, following TRSA’s 15th Annual Legislative Conference and Industry Awards Dinner to discuss the state of the economy and other trends impacting the industry.
A total of 14 high-level executives from TRSA operator and supplier-partner members gathered for a networking dinner near Capitol Hill.
At the Feb. 6 dinner, the executives discussed the state of the industry and economy in early 2025 with the Trump administration now in power since being sworn in on Jan. 20. Overwhelming optimism was the consensus of the room. One CEO said that, “I have never been more optimistic in 35 years. There is a good 3-5 year setup. Private credit is holding on to assets, and deregulation will lead to deals.”
While most operators were optimistic, some cited factors such as the Trump administration’s tariff threats, and factors such as low housing availability, high mortgage rates and difficulty getting reasonable insurance as reasons to be cautious about the overall U.S. economic outlook.
The meeting ended with a discussion of artificial intelligence (AI) in plant operations, and using data to optimize efficiency.
“TRSA hosts CEO/Executive dinners and other special events to enhance industry collaboration and information-sharing,” said TRSA President and CEO Joseph Ricci.
