TRSA’s latest safety report confirms that member companies continue to make meaningful progress in reducing workplace injuries, moving the industry closer to its long-term goal of eliminating occupational incidents. TRSA released the results of its annual national safety survey, which shows ongoing improvement across commercial laundry facilities.

TRSA members reduced their total recordable incident rate (TRIR) by 11.8% from 2020–2024. Peaking at 3.9 per 100 employees in 2022, TRSA members reached their lowest TRIR (3.0) in the past five years. Days away, restricted and/or transferred (DART rate) fell 19.2%, from 2.6 in 2020 to 2.1 in 2024.

“This 2025 TRSA safety report highlights the ongoing commitment of our members to strengthen the safety and well-being of employees in commercial laundry facilities,” said Joseph Ricci, president and CEO of TRSA. “Our members continue to uphold rigorous standards of hygiene and environmental responsibility and remain dedicated to protecting the health and safety of their teams.”
