JENSEN Acquires Remaining Stake in Inwatec

JENSEN-GROUP announced that it has come to an agreement to increase its ownership in Inwatec ApS from 70% to 100%, further strengthening JENSEN’s long-term strategy to accelerate automation, robotics and AI-driven innovation in the linen, uniform and facility services industry.

JENSEN-GROUP reached an agreement on Aug. 11 with CMA-Holding Odense ApS, represented by Mads Andresen, the founder of Inwatec, who currently serves as the chief innovation officer at JENSEN. Inwatec, founded in 2009 and based in Odense, Denmark, develops modern, high-end solutions for industrial laundries, with its core expertise in software engineering, mechanical development, robotics and deep-learning applications. Its product portfolio includes robotic sorting and storage systems, automatic X-ray scanning for foreign-object detection and visual-based sorting solutions powered by AI.

More than a decade ago, JENSEN-GROUP made an investment in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), highlighted by its partnership with Inwatec. Moving to full ownership of Inwatec reflects the company’s commitment to further accelerate innovation across the entire laundry value chain.

Inwatec ApS had a net income of 8.2 million DKK ($1.3 million) in 2025. JENSEN-GROUP does not expect a significant impact on its consolidated revenues as Inwatec is already fully consolidated from 2021. The purchase price totals 11.7 million euro ($13.6 million), with a potential earn out of a maximum 2.4 million euro ($2.8 million) based on achieving certain performance targets.

The purchase price will be partly financed with JENSEN-GROUP shares, and partly with cash. Further details on the purchase price allocation will be disclosed in the company’s 2026 annual report. To read the full release, click here.
