JENSEN-GROUP and Wilhelm Bringewatt have agreed to collaborate on the development of eco-friendly laundry equipment and energy-efficient technologies, according to a news release announcing the partnership.

The partnership focuses on energy-efficient technologies for ironers, finishing machines and dryers, as well as the gradual transition to electric and hybrid-capable systems. The use of relevant patents also is part of the deal.

Wilhelm Bringewatt is the founder of Bringewatt Consulting. He holds a degree in laundry technology engineering and has roughly 30 years of experience in the design and development of industrial laundry machinery. For approximately 20 of these years, he worked as a head of engineering and development, with a particular focus on achieving maximum energy efficiency. As a certified energy-efficiency expert for non-residential buildings and industrial process technology, as well as a registered energy auditor in accordance with DIN EN 16247, he advises commercial and industrial laundries on process optimization, reducing energy and utility consumption, and planning future investments. He also is a member of the German Energy Consultants Network.

“We are delighted to have gained Wilhelm Bringewatt, a recognized expert and true authority in industrial laundry technology, as a partner,” said Martin Rauch, CEO of JENSEN. “His decades of experience and extensive expertise in energy efficiency are extremely valuable for the development of sustainable laundry solutions. Together, we want to develop concrete solutions that support our customers on their journey towards climate-neutral and ultimately fully electric laundries.”

The cooperation aims to enable laundries to operate entirely on electricity in the long term. The objective is to develop technical solutions that reduce energy and utility consumption, extend textile life cycles and pave the way for the electrification of laundries, the release noted.
