July 31 Virtual Roundtable to Explore Fleet-Management Functions

Examining various disciplines of fleet management for performance-improvement potential across the industry will be the primary objective of a July 31 TRSA Network Connections virtual roundtable. Mike Brennan, chief judge of the leading ratings competition in the field, will moderate the discussion.

The TRSA Fleet Network Connections discussion, set for 1 p.m. EDT on Zoom, will focus on criteria evaluated in the 100 Best Fleets competition of TRSA partner NAFA, the Fleet Management Association. TRSA members who enter the contest receive a free evaluation of their fleet management proficiency and see where they stand in this respect with submissions from operators in other industries.

TRSA Network Connections enable participants to network virtually with industry colleagues. These discussions are not webinars. Moderators guide the discussion; participants generate the content, offering a variety of perspectives on the subject at hand. Individuals share experience and expertise with the group by answering moderators’ questions. Sessions are not recorded, encouraging frank commentary.

Applications for the 2025 100 Best Fleets will be available on the verge of the new year, with NAFA conducting a kickoff webinar Dec. 8. Judging will close Jan. 31, 2026. In applying for the 100 Best, entrants have been invited to write up to 400 characters to describe their fleet’s practices in any or all of the following:

• Accountability: metrics, benchmarks you use to document performance and progress toward objectives
• Asset, financial, fuel, maintenance, risk management
• Business Management: relationships and interactions for regulatory compliance, business planning
• Environmental, social and corporate governance
• Professional development
• Use of technology and information
