TRSA announced that Ed Kwasnick, the director of business development at ARCO/Murray, Downers Grove, IL, has been honored with the 2026 Maglin-Biggie Supplier Partner Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is a testament to Kwasnick’s exceptional leadership, his significant contributions to the linen, uniform and facility services industry, and his steadfast dedication to excellence.
“I am truly humbled and very appreciative to be this year’s recipient of the TRSA Maglin-Biggie Lifetime Achievement Award,” Kwasnick said. “Many of the previous recipients are peers, mentors and friends I have worked with throughout my career. To know that they, along with my fellow TRSA Supplier Partner Council members, supported this is a true honor.”
Kwasnick has taken on several leadership roles at TRSA. He served as the chair of the Associate Committee from 2013-’18, and was a member of the Strategic Planning Committee from 2012-’19. Kwasnick also served on TRSA’s Board of Directors, as well as the Executive Committee of the Supplier Partner Council and the Education Committee.
“I’d like to thank you (TRSA President & CEO Joseph Ricci) and the entire TRSA organization for your commitment and support over the years,” Kwasnick said upon hearing that he won the award. “TRSA provides a unique opportunity for members to serve the industry, grow their businesses, develop strong relationships and help shape the future for the next generation of leaders. I look forward to celebrating with you, the TRSA team and my fellow members at the Annual Conference in May!”
Kwasnick currently serves as the director of business development for ARCO/Murray, an industry leading design/build construction firm that has completed more than 250 laundry projects across North America. Kwasnick has played a major role in building ARCO’s laundry business.
“Ed is the kind of leader who rolls up his sleeves and gets to work, the kind who turns challenges into lessons and colleagues into friends,” said ARCO President Elliot Mata.
He has 33 years of hands-on experience designing, constructing and operating laundry facilities. Previously, Kwasnick was the founding principal of Turn-Key Industrial Engineering, a laundry consulting firm, and started in the industry as a division engineer for Rental Uniform Service. Kwasnick has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech and has trained as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Kwasnick and his wife, Nicky, have been married for 30 years. They have two daughters, Madeline (24) and Julia (22). Kwasnick also is a cyclist, and is often found riding and racing on local roads near his home in Charlottesville, VA.
