A laundry truck found itself in the middle of a celebratory scene that turned to chaos in the aftermath of the Philadelphia Eagles’ 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Footage captured by FreedomNewsTV showed a crowd in Philadelphia looting a laundry truck and tossing towels into the air. Later, police responded to a fire at the scene as linens were set on fire by the crowd.

The laundry truck was owned by Star Laundry, a hospitality/hotel provider based in Paterson, NJ. Star Laundry issued the following statement on its LinkedIn page:

“Thankfully, our driver emerged from this incident strong, managing to salvage every piece of linen that belonged to our client, except for those items that went up in flames. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the team at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown and the Loews Hotels & Co. Philadelphia for ensuring our team member’s safety. Additionally, we are grateful to the Philadelphia Police Department and Army National Guard for making sure no one was hurt during the event. Lastly, we congratulate the Philadelphia Eagles on their Super Bowl win. We understand that the recent events do not reflect the spirit of your wonderful city!”

The Philadelphia Police Department told Fox News Digital that it arrested 47 people for charges ranging from vandalism to assaulting a police officer following the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory. Click here to read the full story and view the video.
