TRSA’s 31st Annual Maintenance Management Institute (MMI), the premier event for maintenance positions in the linen, uniform and facility services industry, is scheduled for Oct. 15-17, in Newark, NJ. MMI is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and skills of engineers, plant and general managers, and maintenance staff.

The program continues to be refined and last year the new format received overwhelming positive reactions. Attendees from last year, like Gary Sobieski, Bay Towel, Green Bay, WI, remarked about how much they like the new format and that they hope the program will continue to grow. Damieon Long, maintenance manager for APPERA, Norfolk, NE, said last year’s institute was the best MMI that he had been to so far.

Experienced maintenance staff say that MMI is a great place to exchange ideas with other managers, hear different perspectives and bring home new ideas to improve home facilities. The program is equally important to new managers as one first-time attendee said he was new to the maintenance manager position and was trying to absorb as much as he could during the program.

This year’s MMI promises to be an invaluable experience, offering attendees the chance to:

  • Enhance Technical Expertise: Learn from industry experts about the latest advancements in laundry equipment and technology.
  • Optimize Plant Efficiency: Gain insights into maximizing equipment life, reducing downtime and improving overall plant operations.
  • Reduce Operational Costs: Discover strategies for cost reduction through efficient maintenance management.
  • Foster a Problem-Solving Culture: Incorporate effective problem-solving techniques into your corporate culture to address common equipment failures proactively.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for plantwide and departmental enhancements to stay ahead in a competitive market.

TRSA’s MMI is more than just a conference; it’s a comprehensive learning experience designed to empower attendees with the tools and knowledge to elevate their maintenance management capabilities.
