TRSA member virtual networking is in high season. Two events occurred March 5 and 7, with the Production Network Virtual Open Forum and Women in Textile Services Virtual Roundtable, respectively. On March 12, the Human Resources and Safety Networks will conduct a roundtable of their own.

TRSA networking and information-sharing discussion groups are largely dedicated to professions (job functions or positions). Individual members share experience, and perspectives for the benefit of fellow network members. Discussion topics may cover:

  • Best-management practices
  • Developments in linen, uniform and facility services industry customer markets
  • TRSA advocacy with government, industry customers and the public
  • Existing and future TRSA education/training content, including media, webinars, conferences and other events

The Production Network forum was this group’s inaugural event. Participants included GMs, plant and production managers, operations directors and more. They were encouraged to discuss their operations and raise whatever issues came to mind relevant to their everyday responsibilities.

The Women in Textile Services roundtable featured a group discussion on psychological safety in the workplace. The latest presentation in TRSA’s award-winning Safe Space Series, the discussion was led by Melissa Curtin, a certified coach and strategy consultant.

Human resources (HR) professionals had a network and virtual roundtables in 2023. Individuals involved in their companies’ safety efforts will join them in the March 12 roundtable for the first Safety Network activity. Repeated participation in a formal network aims to prompt individuals to:

  • Attend in-person events, such as the HR, Health & Safety Summit in Milwaukee April 30 and the Production Summit and Plant Tours in the same location May 1-2.
  • Go online for a network’s virtual forums and roundtables twice a year.
  • Read TRSA media articles and listen to podcasts brought to their attention.
  • Subscribe to digital news/articles from business publishers serving their profession.
  • Participate in task forces to network with industry colleagues in helping TRSA devise industrywide solutions to address opportunities they face to be more productive in their jobs.
  • Informally speak and collaborate with peers in their job functions across the TRSA corporate membership.

Individuals interested in HR, health and safety networking are encouraged to register here for the March 12 virtual roundtable.
