Norchem Corp., Los Angeles, recently announced a new strategic partnership with ML-Systems ApS to distribute and support Norchem’s offerings under its Sustainable Water Systems product segment across Europe. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Norchem’s expansion and ongoing dedication to resource conservation and engineering innovation. ML-Systems will serve as the exclusive distributor and system’s integrator for Norchem across all laundry operations throughout the continent.

ML-Systems, with an extensive network and established presence in Europe, will lead the introduction of Norchem’s flagship UltraPure® Wastewater Filtration and Recycling System with the first installation taking place in Denmark. Together, both companies will enable Norchem’s 35 years of proven technology to be a transformative investment for the European market, helping reduce water and heating costs while supporting laundries in achieving their environmental sustainability goals.

Vaughn Minissian, president of Norchem, described the upcoming installation in Denmark as a significant step forward in the company’s growth strategy, bringing Norchem’s proprietary UltraPure® technology to new regions.

“The demand for high-quality recycled water, rising water costs and tightening regulations globally makes the UltraPure technology highly viable for industrial applications,” Minissian said. “The economic and environmental benefits present an excellent opportunity for laundries across Europe to further bolster their sustainability efforts, as it has successfully been done in North America for over 25 years.”

Key highlights of the partnership include:

  • ML-Systems will exclusively distribute and integrate Norchem’s UltraPure® Water Filtration and Recycling Systems across Europe.
  • The first installation is anticipated in Denmark in early 2025, marking Norchem’s official entry into the European market.
  • This partnership leverages ML-Systems’ industry expertise and network to support Norchem’s mission of expanding sustainable water solutions throughout Europe.

“We are thrilled to partner with ML Systems to bring Norchem’s technology and systems, perfected over three decades specifically for the laundry industry, to the European market,” said Chad Folkerts, vice president of engineering, automated systems division, at Norchem. “By combining Norchem’s specialized expertise and engineering with ML Systems’ skilled technical and sales teams, this collaboration will enhance the accessibility and impact of our technology in Europe. Together, we’re enabling laundries to significantly reduce their carbon footprint and realize substantial savings, marking a pivotal step toward more sustainable practices in the industry at a global scale.”

This collaboration aligns with Norchem’s ongoing mission to offer advanced grey-water filtration and recovery solutions to laundries worldwide. Through this partnership, Norchem aims to support European industries in managing clean water needs with cutting-edge technology that upholds Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles with the latest in clean-technology innovation.

“We are grateful to enter this partnership with Norchem,” said Brian Minke, managing director of ML-Systems ApS. “Both companies are family owned and we share the vision to implement sustainable solutions in the industry. Everyone can agree that with the ESG agenda, the laundries need to consider their impact on the planet, and we have the technology to help them achieve their goals.”
