U.S. Rep. Rudy Yakym (R-IN) visited Wildman Uniform & Linen in Warsaw, IN, on May 5, where he was presented with TRSA’s Legislator of the Year Award in recognition of his continued support of the linen, uniform and facility services industry.
Josh Wildman, CEO of Wildman Business Group and a member of TRSA’s Board of Directors, presented the award to Rep. Yakym during the visit. The recognition highlight’s the congressman’s leadership and advocacy on issues that support local employers, strengthen American businesses and advance policies important to the industry.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase Wildman’s operations and essential services the company provides to businesses throughout the region. From uniforms and linens to other brand solutions, companies like Wildman help customers maintain clean, safe and professional environments while supporting local jobs and economic growth in the Midwest.
A key focus of the discussion was the industry’s inclusion in recent federal tax legislation that would allow certain production-related property to be eligible for immediate expensing. This clarification would help companies make major investments in facilities, equipment and workforce growth. Rep. Yakym has been actively helping the industry advance this issue by engaging with fellow policymakers and supporting efforts to ensure that federal tax policy reflects the modern, production-based nature of commercial laundry operations.
Rep. Yakym has been a strong advocate for policies that allow businesses to invest, expand and create new jobs. His engagement with the industry has helped elevate the role that linen, uniform and facility services companies play in supporting healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing and other essential parts of the economy.
Wildman’s facility offered a firsthand look at the people, equipment and processes behind an industry that many businesses rely on every day. The visit underscored the importance of connecting policymakers directly with employers and staff members to better understand how federal decisions affect operations, investment and long-term growth.
