Superior Linen Service, Tulsa, OK, recently celebrated the career of longtime team member Sue Smith, who retired after 55 years of service to the Waldman family and the company.
Smith began her journey with Industrial Uniform, the predecessor company of Superior Linen Service that was founded in 1954. Throughout the 60s and 70s, she worked in the mending department before stepping away to raise her children. She later returned to Superior Linen Service and went on to dedicate another 39 years to the organization.
During her career, Smith served in numerous roles including office manager, accounts receivable and ultimately purchasing manager. In that role, she developed long-term partnerships with textile suppliers throughout the industry.
“Her depth of knowledge, professionalism and consistency were instrumental to our operations,” Superior Linen Service said in a statement. “Sue’s loyalty and decades of commitment represent the foundation on which Superior Linen Service was built. We are deeply grateful for her lasting contributions and wish her the very best in her well-earned retirement.”
