Tingue has promoted John Tingue to vice president of sales, effective immediately, bringing the fifth generation of the Tingue family into the company’s executive leadership team. Tingue will work directly with the company’s North American regional managers to advance sales initiatives and support customers and territory managers.

“We are excited to welcome the fifth generation of the Tingue family into executive leadership,” said David Tingue, CEO of Tingue, Brown & Co. “John has earned this opportunity through his results and leadership. Just as meaningful is his personal commitment to continuing to grow while helping lead the business forward.”

John joined Tingue in 2023 and built his sales experience growing the Chicago-area market. As regional manager, he oversaw territory managers across regions ranging from Alabama to Washington. His regions consistently delivered leading sales growth. He also has championed Tingue’s sales technologies, an area expected to support future growth.

Additionally, as part of Tingue’s continued evolution of its executive leadership structure, Anthony Florek has been promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing, with expanded responsibility for the company’s overall commercial strategy, national accounts, marketing and long-term sales growth initiatives. John will report directly to Florek and assume leadership of Tingue’s North American regional managers.

“John understands the opportunities and challenges our sales teams face because he has worked at both the territory and regional levels,” Florek said. “Having him lead our regional managers will strengthen support for the team and allow us to give greater attention to our broader sales priorities.”

John has completed three of the four years of TRSA’s Executive Management Institute (EMI) and is pursuing his Executive MBA at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in media policy from Indiana University Bloomington and serves on the Midwest Textile Services Association (MTSA) Board of Directors.

“I’m excited to accelerate our team’s use of data-driven insights to strengthen decision making, identify growth opportunities and help our partners run better businesses,” John said. “Having managed a territory and led a regional team at Tingue, I understand the value of pairing those insights with firsthand knowledge of our customers’ operations. Together, they help us earn our customers’ trust through expertise, service and solutions that deliver results. My Executive MBA studies at Loyola are broadening my perspective on leadership and strategy as we build on Tingue’s legacy and position the company for continued growth.”

John resides in Deerfield, Ill., with his wife, Hannah, and their daughter, Tatum.
