TRSA and the Association for Linen Management (ALM) have officially launched Linen360, an innovative educational initiative designed to strengthen how healthcare facilities train staff on the proper use of healthcare textiles. This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to improving patient safety, operational efficiency and sustainability through better linen management practices.
At the center of the program is the Linen360 Healthcare Orientation Series, an engaging, animated training resource created for a wide range of healthcare personnel. The three-video series is tailored for nurses, certified nursing assistants (CNAs), environmental services (EVS) staff, technicians and others who interact with linen in their daily roles. By focusing on practical, real-world scenarios, Linen360 helps reinforce the essential role healthcare textiles play in patient care and infection prevention.
The animated series walks learners through the complete linen flow cycle, offering clear guidance on best practices for handling both clean and soiled linen. It also highlights critical infection-prevention procedures related to linen handling and storage, ensuring that staff understand their role in maintaining a safe clinical environment. In addition, the program addresses a common operational challenge: linen loss and misuse, providing actionable strategies that can help facilities reduce unnecessary costs.
By combining the expertise of TRSA and ALM, Linen360 promotes standardized best practices across the healthcare industry. The initiative not only supports compliance efforts but also helps facilities optimize resources and reinforce the value of healthcare linen as a reusable, patient-centered asset.
TRSA will promote the videos directly to healthcare workers and EVS at the APIC, AHE and AHRMM trade shows this summer. TRSA healthcare operator members will have access to the videos and are encouraged to share this free educational content with their healthcare customers. The videos are available at Linen360 – Laundry Services.
