TRSA Fire Safety Survey: Enhancing Safety in Commercial Laundries
Register for the Fire Prevention Webinar
TRSA will distribute a fire safety survey to TRSA operator members this week. Modeled after the United Kingdom’s Textile Services Association’s (TSA-UK) 2023 Fire Safety Study, the objective of the survey is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of fire safety practices within commercial laundries.
The information gathered will help when collaborating with industry experts, insurance providers and fire safety services to identify potential risks, implement preventive measures, and establish effective protocols for fire prevention and containment in laundries.
The short 12-question survey asks operators about specifics of fire incidents they have experienced, including the date and time of the fire, the location where the fire originated, products impacted and the extent of the damages. The survey also asks about fire procedures at the time of the fire and lessons learned as a result of the fire.
The results of the survey will be shared at the June 20 webinar on Fire Safety which will include operators who have experienced plant fires sharing their stories. Any operator who has experienced a plant fire is encouraged to take the survey. The deadline to complete the survey is June 1.
