The TRSA government relations staff took advantage of Congress being back in session for the fall by meeting with U.S. Rep. Laurel Lee (R-FL) on Capitol Hill. Rep. Lee was introduced to the linen, uniform and facility services industry, with our team highlighting the essential role the industry plays in supporting healthcare, hospitality and other key sectors.
TRSA Vice President of Government Relations Kevin Schwalb emphasized how TRSA members help businesses and hospitals maintain safe, hygienic environments while reducing waste and improving sustainability. Schwalb was joined at the meeting by TRSA Advocacy Manager Sean Kearney.
“These meetings are important because they give lawmakers a clear picture of who we are and what we do,” Schwalb said. “By showing how the industry supports jobs, strengthens local economies and promotes sustainability, we help ensure members of Congress understand our priorities when making policy decisions.”
As the fall legislative session progresses, TRSA will continue to engage with lawmakers like Rep. Lee to ensure the industry’s voice is heard. Questions? Contact Schwalb at kschwalb@trsa.org.
