Dubai will be the site this Oct. 28-29 of a new TRSA event type that will bring to the city the networking and information-sharing concepts TRSA has deployed in North America. This Dubai Summit leverages TRSA as the global association for commercial and central laundry operations, displaying its ability to foster interaction between such operators regarding best practices most critical to their effectiveness and efficiency.

Dubai was chosen as the location for this new meeting type given the lack of abundance of Middle East regional or local trade associations for linen service professionals. Much business in the largest United Arab Emirates (UAE) city, a hub of international commerce, is discussed face-to-face in English. This made it easy for TRSA to communicate with operators to organize the event.

As of Oct. 10, 20 laundry professionals committed to participate, representing organizations completely dedicated to linen services, others partially in this market or looking to build such business, and central hotel laundry operations. Most are from the UAE or Saudi Arabia. A half-dozen suppliers operating in the region had committed to support TRSA activity in the region in 2025-’26 and would attend. More operators and suppliers were expected to commit in the ensuing two weeks.

Education session formats were derived from concepts deployed in TRSA North American events but all essentially hinged on “user-generated” content. This approach resembles the CEO roundtable discussions at face-to-face TRSA events and the virtual Network Connections roundtables for various managerial functions in linen, uniform and facility services operations.

Like traditional TRSA agendas, the event opens in late afternoon with a networking reception and continues the following day with education sessions. In this case, an opening ceremony features a government official (Dubai Economy and Tourism agency). Also similar to TRSA events, a few industry customers will be involved. But they will be more like attendees than presenters, fielding the same questions from a discussion moderator as operators and suppliers in the audience.

The education session in which customers will be most involved will focus on economic forces in the region fueling developments in hotel, lodging, inpatient and outpatient markets affecting demand for linen and uniform services. Another session will be a discussion of existing and emerging laundry machinery and software solutions that maximize throughput and minimize labor, examining the impact of artificial intelligence and robotics.

A closing discussion featuring an operator-supplier facilitator panel will spark conversation regarding real-world insights on productivity, technology and workforce challenges, offering fresh perspectives on the opportunities shaping large-scale commercial operations.

This program is meant for operators with one or more laundries serving hospitality, healthcare or other business locations, and the operation produces at least 15 tonnes of laundry each day. Click here for the agenda and form to commit to attending.
