Five member linen, uniform and facility services operators and one supplier partner will take home the highest level honor in the 2024 TRSA Video Awards competition. They will be presented with trophies at dinner on April 10 at the 14th Annual TRSA Legislative Conference in Washington, DC.
Gold-level-award-winning operators:
Plymate Inc., Shelbyville, IN, “The Plymate Story.” The video shares with customers and prospects how the business was founded on core values: Image Matters, Do it Better, Do the Right Thing, Communicate x3 and Co-Workers Make the Difference.
Unitex Healthcare Laundry Services, Elmsford, NY, “Acute Care Processing Facility Tour.” Gives an in- depth, behind-the-scenes tour of how a plant processes over one million pounds of linen weekly.
HLS Linen Services, Ottawa, ON, “Virtual Tour.” Depicts pickup, sorting, washing, drying, folding, delivery, and process checks for quality and hygienically clean textiles, while pointing out state-of-the-art equipment and innovations to show the company at its best.
Ecotex Healthcare Linen Service, Abbotsford, BC, “A Succession Story.” Communicates to stakeholders, customers, supplier partners and employees the values the Bartsch family stands for. Conveys that while succession begins the next chapter for the business, it also brings a fresh perspective and new energy to the operation.
UniFirst Corp., Wilmington, MA, “Always Deliver.” Showcases commitment to service and celebrates and honors hardworking people who drive businesses and communities forward; employees’ stories and experiences resonate on a personal level, connecting with the target audience.
Operators receiving honorable mention include:
- CITY Laundering, Oelwein, IA, for three videos: “First Aid,” “We Take Care of People” (healthcare), and “Route Service Representative Retires after 25 Years of Service”
- Novo Health Services, Miami, FL (plant tour)
- Wildman Business Group, Warsaw, IN, “What’s Your One?”: encourages employees to make small changes that foster momentum and achievement
Norchem Corp., Los Angeles, won Gold for profiles of this chemistry supplier’s relationships with Miller’s Textile Services (Wapakoneta, OH) and Emerald Textile Services (Turlock, CA). A Norchem video profiling Ace ImageWear (Kansas City, MO) won Silver.
Silver recognition went to Reed Manufacturing, Tupelo, MS, for its appearance on “The Wash,” produced by CITY Laundering, featuring company execs discussing their business experience and downing hot wings. Tingue, Peachtree City, GA, took honorable mention for its video that assists customers in performing essential preventive maintenance on their flatwork ironers’ vacuum systems.

The presentation of the 2024 honors, among 10 award categories, is set for the April 10 dinner at the Legislative Conference, hosted by Washington’s Madison Hotel. The conference is the industry’s premier event for demonstrating its public impacts, as attendees will visit congressional offices April 11 to testify to the industry’s cleanliness, sustainability and safety records, and impact on jobs and local economies.
Attendees will prepare for these Capitol Hill visits on the afternoon of April 10, which will feature the keynote address by Bob Cusack, editor in chief, The Hill Newspaper. TRSA committee meetings will be conducted that day as well. A Supplier Partner Workshop takes place the day before the conference (April 9).
