Textile Services magazine recently received two Gold Awards from the Association for Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP).
The 2024 MarCom awards came in two categories: one for a recent redesign of the magazine’s layout and another for editorial excellence in an association magazine. Textile Services underwent a design makeover, starting with its September issue. The judges compared the August and September issues and determined that the redesign qualified for a Gold award. As for the editorial-excellence recognition, TRSA’s staff entered the September issue of the magazine for review by the judges.
Textile Services Senior Editor Jack Morgan said he was delighted with both awards. However, the redesign honor was especially gratifying because it represents a collaborative process between staff and designer Jacki Fink that took several months to complete. “We’re happy to have the team’s hard work recognized,” he said. “Ms. Fink took the lead, and she did an excellent job giving our publication a fresh new look.”
Founded in 2004, the MarCom Awards competition has grown into one of the world’s largest and best-known recognition programs for creative works such as magazines, websites, annual reports, ad campaigns and others. Organizations ranging from trade associations like TRSA, to ad agencies, public and private companies, freelancers and web professionals submit their work for review by judges selected by the AMCP. Each year, the MarCom competition draws roughly 6,500 print and digital entries from organizations worldwide. Click here for details
