U.S. Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR) visited the Superior Linen Service plant in Springdale, AR, today, where he toured the facility, met with employees and got a first-hand look at how the linen, uniform and facility services industry works. Among the many things discussed were the importance of the linen, uniform and facility services industry to the economy.

The visit was facilitated by the outreach of Superior Linen Service staff whose ongoing participation in the TRSA Annual Legislative Conference has allowed them to establish relationships with key policymakers. The visit continues TRSA’s ongoing efforts to engage directly with policymakers so they can better understand the challenges and opportunities the industry faces.

Superior Linen Service, a fourth-generation, 70-year-old family-owned company headquartered in Tulsa, OK, provides linen and uniform rental services to healthcare and hospitality clients across the Oklahoma/Arkansas region.

During the tour, Rep. Womack observed the plant’s operations, including its high-efficiency laundering systems and sustainable water-recycling technologies. He praised the company’s commitment to innovation and workforce development.

Prior to the tour, Rep. Womack received a briefing from Superior President and CEO Doug Waldman where he briefed the congressman on current industry opportunities and challenges. Rep. Womack reaffirmed his support for policies that promote and protect the linen, uniform and facility services industry.

The tour was led by Springdale General Manager Ronny Luthi. Luthi expressed appreciation for the visit. “It means a lot to our team to have Congressman Womack here,” Luthi said. “His interest in our work and his support for local industry are encouraging as we continue to grow and serve our community.”

If you are interested in hosting a congressional plant visit, TRSA is available to help coordinate, from making the initial contact with a legislator’s office to helping with the agenda and talking points. Additionally, another mechanism to engage with Congress is through TRSA’s Political Action Committee, TRSAPAC, which allows us to support key policymakers who support our industry, and align with our values and positions on key issues.
