A presentation at TRSA’s Midwest Regional Summit on April 15 will feature the head of a globally recognized nonprofit group that guides workplaces in violence prevention, threat assessment and verbal de-escalation.
Kenneth L. Wolf, Ph.D., consults and lectures globally on these subjects. He prepares businesses to prevent a range of potential interpersonal dangers, from immediately life-threatening situations (such as active shooter) to those that can create substantial conflict (e.g., from implementing employment downsizing).
CEO of the Michigan-based Incident Management Team (theimt.org), he brings a strong background in working with law enforcement and military personnel. His corporate clients have included Ford Motor Co., General Motors, World Bank, Daimler, Southern California Edison, General Electric, Lockheed Martin, AT&T, Intel, Ryder Systems, Continental AG North America and FirstEnergy (Ohio).
Dr. Wolf has been a crisis intervention training (CIT) instructor, including teaching Michigan law enforcement training officers to manage contacts with mentally ill citizens. Over a two-year period, he trained more than 1,000 deputies, corrections, probation, parole, court and command officers in CIT. He was adjunct faculty at the Miami Dade (FL) College School of Criminal Justice, where he taught CIT.
The summit, which will be held in Detroit, will unite industry professionals for a full day of sessions focused on issues shaping today’s linen, uniform and facility services operations, including:
- Collaborative Workforce Strategies: Aligning Employer Needs with Opportunity Pathways
- Technology Adoption Challenges
- Leveraging Technology and Information Sharing to Improve Customer Experience
- Transforming a Plant: Practical Strategies for Modernization
Closing sessions include facilitated roundtable discussions, allowing participants to choose topics to explore more deeply with peers. These small‑group exchanges encourage practical problem-solving, candid dialogue and collaborative learning tailored to attendees’ most pressing operational needs.
A local CEO/executive panel discussion features:
- Jason Feldman, co-president, Economy Linen & Towel Inc., Dayton, OH
- Ed McCauley, president & CEO, United Hospital Services LLC, Indianapolis
- John Shoemaker, senior VP, General Linen & Uniform Service, Detroit
