Alsco Uniforms, which operates three laundry facilities in Southern California in Vista, Anaheim and Los Angeles that provide uniform, linen, floor mat, first aid and restroom supply services, is donating $50,000 to The Salvation Army to support wildfire recovery efforts across the region.
Additionally, Alsco Uniforms has supplied more than 8,000 face masks and partnered with the Dream Center, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit, to distribute laundry detergent to those directly impacted by the fires. These contributions will help provide both immediate relief and long-term rebuilding assistance to communities affected by the devastating wildfires.
Throughout Jan. 2025, a series of 17 wildfires burned across the Los Angeles metropolitan area and San Diego County, destroying entire communities, including Pacific Palisades and Altadena. The fires displaced thousands, resulted in numerous injuries and tragic losses, and left widespread devastation in their wake. In response, organizations across the country have rallied to provide aid and support to those affected.
“At Alsco Uniforms, we are deeply connected to the communities we serve,” said Bob Steiner, CEO of Alsco Uniforms. “Southern California businesses have supported us for decades, and we are committed to standing with these communities in their time of need. Our goal is to help families recover and rebuild, and we are honored to contribute to these essential relief efforts.”
Across Southern California, The Salvation Army is working around the clock to provide immediate relief with food, shelter and support. They are also planning for the future, with long-term solutions for assisting these communities as they rebuild. This donation will help secure these essential supplies and fund recovery efforts.
The Dream Center, known for its deep ties to the local community, is actively assisting Angelenos displaced by the fires. The donated laundry detergent will be included in care packages distributed to families as they return home and begin the rebuilding process.
