After relocating from the downtown location in San Diego on Grape Street, Alsco Uniforms recently announced the opening of a new facility in Vista, CA. This new plant will produce hygienically clean uniforms, linens, floor mats and mops while providing first aid and restroom supplies to the company’s growing customer base throughout southern California.
Alsco Uniforms currently maintains a fleet of 20 delivery vehicles servicing more than 1,500 customers across the San Diego area. This new plant covers 74,000 square feet on 5.3 acres in Vista. Featuring cutting-edge technology that improves operational efficiency, the facility is among the most advanced of its kind in North America, allowing Alsco Uniforms to process more than 600,000 lbs. of laundry per week.
“Our new plant is designed with a forward-thinking approach, equipped with advanced technology to handle up to three times as many customers,” said CEO Bob Steiner. “This capacity guarantees that we are well prepared to meet growing customer demands while continuing to deliver exceptional service.”
Alsco Uniforms kept the community as a central focus when designing this facility and contributed to local enhancement projects throughout the construction process. General Manager Francisco Lopez said that, “We look forward to serving Vista and the greater San Diego area for years to come, and we are so proud of the positive impact that our new facility will make in the community.”
Alsco Uniforms held an official grand opening on Oct. 17 that included a tour of the state-of-the-art laundry facility and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
