TRSA recently updated its lineup of events with a New York Regional Roundtable and Plant Tour on Oct. 18 featuring remarks from Assembly Member Amanda Septimo, of the 84th district of the New York State Assembly. The event, located at the Residence Inn Marriott in New Rochelle, NY, will kick off with a networking lunch.
Topics of discussion will range from the success of TRSA getting the Healthcare Worker Safety and Sustainability Act legislation, introduced in New York, which will require a 50% threshold of reusable healthcare textiles in healthcare facilities to the proposal of New York City to start a congestion-pricing scheme that would cost deliveries an extra $25 per trip into a high-traffic zone. There are plenty of subjects to discuss.
TRSA is finalizing the details with Assembly Member Septimo, who is the chief sponsor of the Healthcare Worker Safety and Sustainability Act. A roundtable discussion will follow, led by Joseph Ricci, TRSA president and CEO, and TRSA Vice President of Government Relations Kevin Schwalb, giving attendees the opportunity to discuss with their peers these and other issues critical to the industry.
The afternoon will end with a plant tour of the Unitex plant in Mount Vernon, NY, which specializes in healthcare laundry. Registration is open to both members and nonmembers. Click here for details.
