TRSA’s Canadian/Northeast US Summit brought linen, uniform and facility services professionals together Oct. 27-29 in Toronto for education, networking and an up-close look at industry operations. Held at the Hyatt Regency Toronto, the summit was designed to provide insights into leadership, operations, production, technology and supply-chain developments.
The summit kicked off with an exclusive opening reception at Toronto’s Hockey Hall of Fame. Attendees gathered in the Esso Great Hall, home to the Stanley Cup and major NHL awards, while networking amid exhibits celebrating the history of hockey. Participants also had access to interactive attractions throughout the facility, including shooting and goaltending experiences, broadcast booths, and opportunities to view and take photos with the Stanley Cup.
The educational program opened the following morning with Darrell Bricker, who discussed the importance of tracking major demographic trends, including urbanization, population decline and aging, and considering their impact on business forecasting.
Throughout the summit, attendees explored developments affecting linen, uniform and facility services companies, including emerging technologies and supply-chain issues such as tariffs. The program provided opportunities to hear perspectives from industry executives and exchange ideas with peers on current business and operational challenges.
The summit concluded with a tour of a seven-year-old Cintas facility in Cambridge, Ontario. The 55,000-square-foot facility employs more than 120 employee-partners and delivers more than 29,000 items each week to more than 2,300 customers across 23 routes. General Manager Rui DeOliveira, Plant Manager Jessica Arnds and Production Director Greg Bova led participants through the operation, emphasizing Cintas’ commitment to safety.
