The Healthcare Linen Services Group (HLSG), St. Charles, IL, earned a place on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list for the third consecutive year. A second TRSA member laundry, Metro Laundry Service, Capitol Heights, MD, made its debut on the annual list after reporting 103% revenue growth from 2022-’25.

The list is a prestigious ranking of the nation’s most successful independent and entrepreneurial businesses, recognizing companies that have achieved remarkable growth while driving innovation, creating jobs and shaping the economy of the future. Past honorees include companies such as Microsoft, Meta, Chobani, Oracle and Patagonia. Metro was ranked 2,980; HLSG was ranked 4,403.

“We are honored to be recognized on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies for the third consecutive year,” said Joseph LaPorta, president and CEO of HLSG. “This achievement reflects the continued momentum of HLSG and, most importantly, the dedication and hard work of our employees who show up every day committed to serving our customers at the highest level.”

Richard Burney, business development consultant for Metro, said the company’s rapid growth stems from a commitment made during the COVID-19 pandemic to continue serving hotels, even after a downturn in business led to the closure of its second plant in Oakridge, MD. The decision to stay open proved fortuitous because Metro picked up business from competitors that had shut down. Word got around among hotel managers that Metro was still working during the pandemic, Burney said. This set the stage for Metro’s rapid growth after the crisis abated in 2023. Today, Metro is in talks to acquire a second plant to accommodate rising customer demand. “In the last two years, we purchased several pieces of equipment that have allowed us to increase our efficiency, which allowed us to take on some new business,” he said. “But we’re bulging at the seams right now. So, we definitely need additional space.”

This year’s Inc. 5000 recognizes a new class of companies that are redefining what growth looks like. From artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced manufacturing to healthcare, consumer products and professional services, these businesses are expanding their impact, creating jobs and proving that entrepreneurial ambition continues to fuel the U.S. economy. Among the 5,000 companies on the list, the median three-year revenue growth rate was 130%, and collectively, these companies have added more than 627,208 jobs to the U.S. economy over the past three years.
