Joining the Sept. 30 Independent Operators Network (ION) Connections’ discussion on disaster preparedness and recovery are Paul Kihslinger, vice president and partner, Robertson Ryan & Associates; and Andrew Leonard, executive leader of operations, Gunderson Uniform & Linen Rental.
The duo will help facilitate an open exchange among independent operators on disaster preparedness and recovery. The virtual event will take place on Zoom from 1-2:15 p.m. EDT.
Disruptions can happen with little warning, whether caused by fire, flooding, severe weather, equipment failures or facility damage. How an operation prepares for and responds to these events can significantly impact business continuity, customer service and long-term recovery.
Drawing on both insurance and operational perspectives, the discussion will explore practical strategies for minimizing risk, protecting employees and customers, navigating insurance considerations, maintaining service during disruptions and accelerating recovery efforts. Participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges and learn from real-world examples of how operators have managed unexpected events and rebuilt stronger organizations.

This Connections’ discussion is part of TRSA’s new Independent Operator Network (ION) initiative designed to strengthen education, information-sharing and peer collaboration for single-plant, independent linen, uniform and facility services companies. Both TRSA members and nonmembers are invited to participate.
