TRSA will host its 36th Annual Production Management Institute (PMI) this Nov. 2-5 at the DoubleTree Hotel Dallas Near the Galleria. This year’s program moves to a more centrally located Dallas venue, making it easier for attendees from across North America to access the industry’s premier leadership-development program for production and plant managers. Reimagined as a focused 2½-day experience, PMI combines leadership development, operational training, peer networking and tours of two leading linen, uniform and facility services operations.

For more than three decades, PMI has helped develop leaders across the linen, uniform and facility services industry by combining practical operational training with leadership development. The enhanced program builds on that legacy while delivering a modern curriculum aligned with today’s workforce and operational challenges. Participants gain actionable strategies to improve business performance, collaborate more effectively across departments and lead plant teams with confidence and accountability.

PMI is offered in two levels tailored to participants’ experience and career stage:

  • Year I: Foundations for New Supervisors/Emerging Leaders
  • Year II: Advanced Leadership for Experienced Supervisors/High Potentials

The curriculum combines industry-specific operational education with interactive leadership training. Year I sessions address leadership essentials, communication skills and core supervisory competencies, while Year II focuses on advanced leadership strategy, emotional intelligence, team empowerment, strategic communication and safety leadership.

Through an immersive learning environment, attendees develop a deeper understanding of laundry operations best practices while strengthening leadership, communication and decision-making skills. The program also provides valuable opportunities for peer-to-peer networking and knowledge sharing among professionals from across the industry.

In addition to classroom instruction, participants will gain firsthand exposure to industry best practices through tours of two leading facilities: North Texas Healthcare Laundry Cooperative and ImageFIRST. The tours provide attendees with an opportunity to observe operational processes, technology, quality systems and management practices in real-world production environments, reinforcing key concepts discussed throughout the program.

PMI is designed for general managers, production and plant managers, supervisors, engineers, frontline leaders, industry associates and supplier partners seeking to advance their management and leadership capabilities.

“PMI helped me grow both professionally and personally, making me a more confident and effective manager,” said a recent PMI graduate. “Equally valuable were the strong relationships I built with my peers, creating a network that continues to support and benefit me long after the program ended.”

Samlane Ketevong, senior director of certification & accreditation at TRSA. “PMI has always been about developing leaders who can make an immediate impact in their operations. This year’s program builds on that tradition with a streamlined format, a new central Dallas location and facility tours that allow participants to see industry best practices in action. Attendees will leave with practical leadership and operational strategies they can apply as soon as they return to their facilities.”

Registration for PMI is open. Additional information, curriculum details and registration are available at TRSA’s Production Management Institute website.
