Prudential Overall Supply announced the company’s third completed solar project at its Vista, CA, facility.
The third phase of the system features 284 solar panels, is sized for 168 kW and expected to generate 300,000 kWh of electricity per year. This will allow the plant to receive 35% of its energy needs through the system.
This represents a savings equivalent to 200 metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2), significantly decreasing the plant’s greenhouse gas emissions. With the solar system at Vista in place, Prudential now is producing approximately 1,200 kWh of clean energy per year across the three installed systems.
The company anticipates that two more systems will come online by the end of the year.
