The TRSA Industry Safety Survey has moved up to March to get company data right after operators have submitted their forms to the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). This survey plays a vital role in benchmarking safety programs and demonstrating to OSHA that linen, uniform and facility services companies are proactively improving their safety performance. By participating, companies can compare their safety records with industry standards, identify areas for improvement, and ensure they are effectively eliminating risks in their facilities.
Submitting the data is simple: use a PDF to copy data from the OSHA Form 300A, which companies are required to post in their facilities from February through April. A spreadsheet also is available to transmit data electronically, easing the process for multilocation companies. Submission of Form 300A photocopies is acceptable as well. Documentation is 100% confidential and submitted directly to Mackay Research Group.
“We encourage all members to complete and submit the TRSA Safety Survey,” said Don Bock, principal, Seabright Safety Solutions Inc., Santa Maria, CA, and chair of the TRSA Safety Committee. “The survey not only provides us with outcome/lagging metrics like TRIR and DART rates, but also leading indicators when members answer the ancillary questions. The questions provide information about the kinds of activities members use to improve safety performance and reduce lagging metrics. The greater the number of respondents, the more valuable the data becomes.”
TRSA members who complete the survey will receive a FREE 2025 TRSA Industry Safety Report (reporting 2024 data) and a custom report benchmarking their company’s safety record against the entire industry. Non-TRSA members who participate in the survey can receive the 2025 TRSA Industry Safety Report for the member price of $495, a $1,100 savings compared with nonmembers who do not participate.
